Sinopse: 30 Rock é uma série de comédia sobre os bastidores de um programa humorístico chamado “The Girlie Show”. Liz Lemon(Tina Fey) é a escritora-chefe do programa, e conta com a ajuda de seus amigos Pete(Scott Adsit), Frank(Judah Friedlander), Jenna(Jane Krakowski) e um grupo de escritores, atores e secretária talentosos. O programa toma um rumo diferente quando no novo vice-presidente da NBC, Jack Donaghy(Alec Baldwin) obriga Liz a contratar um ator negro para o show, e nisso o famoso porém não-muito-esperto ator Tracey Jordan(Tracey Morgan) é contratado para atuar no show.
